Work Sucks

It's getting more difficult by the day to get to work. The weather continues to improve, all those rotten kids are spring breaking and you're stuck punching in data for eight hours a day. Adulthood is a burden that comes with no spring break nor summer vacation. Ah, but it does have a few perks, and chief among them is the mental-health day. Get up early, call in sick and go act like a kid again. There's no better place for that than the City Museum (701 North 15th Street; 314-231-2489 or, which is now operating seven days a week. Nothing like some climbing, sliding, running and exploring to refresh your mind and body. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, and admission is $12. If you get an early enough start, you can be nice and exhausted by 3 p.m., which would be ideal -- the St. Louis Cardinals open their season on the road at 3:10 p.m. in Cincinnati, and you can probably find a nice bar downtown that's showing the game.
