What's Italian for Party?

Eh, whatsamatta you? The Italian Fest in Collinsville, Illinois, is happening this Friday and Saturday (September 17 and 18). You know what that means? It means grape stomping and bocce-ball tournaments. Yes, bocce ball, the game in which players throw larger balls toward the smaller ball. For those more athletically inclined, there is a 5K run/walk that starts at 8 a.m. Saturday so you can burn off a few calories before you indulge in cannolis, pasta and sausage, and hit the parade at 4 p.m. There is a play area available for the little ones (complete with a Moon Bounce tent), and two stages are set up with live music scheduled from 1 to 10 p.m. both days. All of the action takes place along Main Street in downtown Collinsville. For more event details, visit the website at www.italianfest.info.
