Peter's a Gulf War vet — the first Gulf War, not the current one. He's drifting through Oklahoma City when he's introduced to Agnes, a waitress with an abusive ex-husband and a cocaine habit. This broken and wounded pair finds comfort in each other's arms, and maybe something more. And, oh, do they find something more: Peter's being eaten from the inside out by bugs — bugs he believes were implanted under his skin by the U.S. government. And then the bugs infest Agnes. In Tracy Letts' drama Bug, the crazier things become, the more real the danger. The theater department of St. Louis Community College-Meramec presents Bug at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday (November 20 through 23) at the Meramec Theatre (11333 Big Bend Boulevard; 314-984-7564). Admission is free. As the play contains graphic language and violence, it is strongly recommended for mature audiences only.
