Three artists come together for a show based on a common element in their art. “Waxing Poetic” will feature Amy Willcut’s weathered encaustic collages and assemblages, Mark Witzling’s bold abstract oil and cold wax pieces and Linda Wein’s ethereal encaustic landscapes. The common thread is wax, used in different ways to accomplish different effects. Each artist complements the other and the show offers an opportunity for viewers who are familiar with, or attracted to one artist, to be exposed to the work of two artists they may otherwise missed.
