Mrs. Joe Bradshaw is middle-aged, the mother of two grown children, and feeling adrift in the doldrums of her life. She's so all-around low, she talks to the kitchen wall of her English semi-detached as she prepares her husband's supper of egg and chips. The days of her youth, of her former self as Shirley Valentine rather than just Joe Bradshaw's missus, seem impossibly distant -- until she gets an invitation from a girlfriend to accompany her on holiday to Greece. Shirley does go to the Mediterranean, where her life changes dramatically. Find out how much it does in Dramatic License Theatre's staging of Willy Russell's comedy Shirley Valentine
