Tradition of Excellence: 100 Years of New Haven Basketball

In February 1958, Kansas City Star sportswriter Fritz Kreisler called New Haven "the basketball capital of Missouri". Since the school's first game one hundred years ago, New Haven has established an unparalleled basketball tradition recognized throughout the state. Backed by 10 Final Four appearances and 8 State Championships, New Haven High School's basketball program was formally announced as a 2012 Missouri Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
