'Tis the Season for Tradition

Saint Louis Ballet kicks off more than a week of The Nutcracker with a full-length performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 8, at Washington University's Edison Theatre (6445 Forsyth Boulevard). If you haven't seen it before (the television version doesn't count), know that the Sugar Plum Fairy's dance is lovely enough to take the Scrooge out of anyone. A narrated children's version and full-length performances are offered throughout the run (through Tuesday, December 19); for times visit Tickets cost $25 to $35; make a purchase through MetroTix (314-534-1111 or or at the Edison box office (314-935-6543).
