8 p.m. Wednesday, March 16. The Pageant, 6161 Delmar Boulevard.

Tiësto probably can't even count the number of times he's been named the best DJ in the world, the supreme lord over all the wax wizards and party starters. (If you think about it, this sort of makes him the best DJ in the known universe.) He was the first DJ ever to play the Olympics, as well as the first to draw 25,000 earthlings as the sole performer. Tiësto has worn the title well over the years — his name is synonymous with trance, and his list of collaborations is likely longer than the list of people he hasn't collaborated with. The guy has 24 remix albums and 6 original releases under his belt, and he's the crown jewel of B&W Productions' already bombastic season (Paul Oakenfold, Tiësto's one-time musical partner Ferry Corsten, Steve Angello). Chances are the Pageant is the most intimate setting you'll ever have occasion to see him in, so dance till you bleed.
