Trash turned into treasure during the Garbage Bag Gala on July 25, 2014, at Moulin. A benefit for Salvation Army's social services programs, the third-annual event showcased gowns, cocktail dresses and jackets created from typically discarded materials such as wrapping paper, tissue paper, duct tape and, of course, trash bags. Outfits were modeled by local personalities and created by designers including St. Louis native A.J. Thouvenot, who participated in season eight of Project Runway.
