The what what? Huh? Much like their befuddling name, The Planet The's music will make you do a double take. Check out the Portland, Oregon, trio's latest album, You Absorb My Vision, and you'll find sped-up new-wave song forms with altered time signatures and liberal doses of crazed (and sometimes non-sequitur) lyrics about anything from tennis to free jewelry. Demented and black nail-polished followers of Devo, the Faint and Gary Numan -- or admirers of synth-heavy art damage or frantic dancing -- would probably do well by boarding the next rocketship out of here and establishing a colony on The Planet The.

Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5; call 314-771-1096 for more information.
