The Last Man on Earth

When: Thu., July 7, 7 p.m. 2016

The city is a sprawling, empty tomb when you're the last living human being. Robert Morgan (Vincent Price) is the last survivor of a plague that swept the world. Not all those dead people are safely buried, though; at night they crawl out of their graves and try to destroy Morgan. He maybe has it coming, because when he finds them during the day he mercilessly stakes them and burns their undead bodies. The Last Man on Earth is a quietly grim horror flick aided by the melancholy performance of Price. The Culture Shock film series screens The Last Man on Earth at 7 p.m. tonight at Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Avenue, Maplewood; www.afilmseries.com). Admission is a suggested $6 donation, which goes to Helping Kids Together and A Universal Design Project.
