Films such Sleepaway Camp and Friday the 13th cemented summer camp as the domain of the slasher film, but the new movie The Hive makes Jason Voorhees' former stomping grounds ground zero for the zombie apocalypse. The Hive is a collaboration between Chris Hardwick's Nerdist Industries and DJ Steve Aoki's soundtracking skills, and is described as Evil Dead meets Memento. The film tells the story of a camp counselor struck by amnesia, a plane crash in the nearby woods and a plague that's turning everyone in Camp Yellow Jacket into monsters. The Hive is screened at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Chesterfield AMC 14 (3000 Chesterfield Mall, Chesterfield; www.fathomevents.com). Tickets are $12.50.
