The Compass Improv Festival
presents four nights of off-the-cuff comedy from improv troupes based in Kentucky, Minnesota, Florida, Oklahoma and (of course) Chicago. Show hometown love to St. Louis' own Improv Shop, Schrodinger's Cast, and the Meowsers; Become an improv anthropologist at the screening of the documentary David Shepherd: A Lifetime of Improvisational Theatre
with special guest (and original Compass Player) David Shepherd; And learn how to get better -- or get started -- at actor-taught workshops. Performances take place at 8 and 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday (October 23 and 24) at Satori (3003 Locust Street), and at 8 and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday (October 25 and 26) at Kranzberg Center for the Arts (501 North Grand Boulevard); the David Shepherd
