Talkdemonic melds live percussion, electric violin, automated sounds and drum machines to create a vivid soundtrack of polyrhythmic sections. Portland natives Kevin O'Connor and Lisa Molinaro bring a human element that works as a nice juxtaposition against machine-made backtracks and pre-recorded chunks. Molinaro carries a strong leading melody on her viola through most pieces, and O'Connor uses his drum set to supply an acoustic rip to mostly electronic music. At its best, Talkdemonic brings together the askew moments of free-jazz and the rigid complexity of classical music.

Don't Be Left Out: This event is all ages, and the Gramophone is a classy place. Take your family, friends or co-workers out for a night of eclectic jazz.
