Think that Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro were really breaking new comedic ground with their Meet the Parents twofer, do ya? Wrong! Young love and mismatched families have long provided ripe terrain for playwrights, too, and You Can't Take It with You is one of the best-loved products of the genre. Alice comes from a freewheeling family of eccentrics, while her beloved Tony's straight-laced family equates money with happiness. You know it's going to be tense when these two groups dine together! Stray Dog Theatre stages You Can't Take It with You Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. (June 7 through 24) at the Little Theatre at Clayton High School (1 Mark Twain Circle, Clayton). Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors; you are encouraged to bring along a non-perishable food item to donate. For more information or to reserve tickets, visit www.straydogtheatre.org or call 314-865-1995.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: June 7. Continues through June 24
