Last night, Ms. Day had the most fabulous dream. She and Mr. Night were performing a beautiful routine in front of thousands during the Ice Capades. Day was wearing a brilliant blue spandex-y skirted number with those weird shiny pantyhose, and Night had donned his usual musketeer ensemble, complete with a sword. As they spun around to Taco's version of "Puttin' on the Ritz" and the crowd cheered them on, they couldn't have been more thrilled to be out on the ice, feeling its cool slickness beneath their blades and showcasing their skills.
But then, Ms. Day woke up.
She realized that she and Night cannot skate very well at all! In fact, they aren't even able to accomplish the simplest of aerial tricks! So to rectify this, you can bet that they will be at the outdoor Steinberg Skating Rink in Forest Park every day (it's open daily, including the holidays). Sure, they'll be working hard from 10 a.m. to midnight (through New Year's Day; call 314-361-0613 or visit www.steinbergskatingrink.com for post-holiday hours), but they will be able to warm up by the fire and have meals at the Steinberg Café. If you would like to check out their rehearsals, pay the $5 to $6 ice fee, and rent a pair of skates ($2). Heck, you can even work on some choreography of your own!
