Street-punk isn't exactly the easiest subgenre of punk rock in which to implant yourself — that three-foot mohawk ain't gonna spike itself, and have you seen the going rate for a pair of Dogpile pants these days? Boston punks Street Dogs aren't making it any easier on their fans' wallets, either, having released four albums in less than six years. The most recent of these is 2008's top-notch State Of Grace, although all of 'em are essential if you're looking for a soundtrack to slamdancing. Frontman Mike McColgan, a decade removed from his tenure in the Dropkick Murphys, still breathes fire on the mic and inspires circle pits wherever he and his band travel. Make sure to buy 'em a drink after the show, too — except guitarist Tobe Bean. According to one of the band's best songs, "Tobe's Got a Drinking Problem."
