Strange Brew: Hard Times

For decades, fans have debated the issue: Do the films of Charles Bronson derive their power from his iconic mustache? While legions grew up identifying Bronson with the manly mouthbrow featured so prominently in his late-period films such as Death Wish, many of his greatest movies feature the action star sans 'stache. Tonight the 1975 Walter Hill classic Hard Times, which features Bronson at his bare-knuckled, bare-lipped best, screens as part of the Strange Brew series. Bronson's frequent co-star James Coburn (The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape) shares top billing, and Tom Stockman offers a special peek at his incredible Charles Bronson Exhibit of vintage figures, models, toys, and must-be-seen-to-be-believed memorabilia.
