Diamant comes to the Festival best known for her fiction, The Red Tent, a word-of-mouth bestseller that has been published in more than 25 countries and, in 2014, was adapted as a 2pt, 4hr. miniseries by Lifetime TV. Diamant, born in Brooklyn, NY in 1951, graduated from Wash U. in STL w/ a degree in comparative literature & earned a Master’s in American Literature from Binghamton University. Her newest book, The Boston Girl, tells the story of family ties & values, friendship & feminism through the eyes of a young Jewish woman growing up in Boston in the 20th century.
