Diamant comes to the Festival best known for her fiction, The Red Tent, a word-of-mouth bestseller that has been published in more than 25 countries and, in 2014, was adapted as a two-part, four-hour miniseries by Lifetime TV. Diamant, born in Brooklyn, New York in 1951, graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. Literature from Binghamton University. Her newest book, The Boston Girl, tells the story of family ties and values, friendship and feminism through the eyes of a young Jewish woman growing up in Boston in the early twentieth century.
