St. Louis Cardinals vs. Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals won the World Series in 2015, a year after losing the Fall Classic in seven games. It's still difficult to believe KC pulled it off — the team was a punching bag for much of the past 30 years. This year's team is scuffling along in second place in its division, which just so happens to be the same place the St. Louis Cardinals sit at press time. The cross-state rivals play a home-and-home series this week, with the Busch Stadium (Broadway and Poplar Street; www.stlcardinals.com) games taking place at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday and 6:15 p.m. Thursday (June 29 and 30).
