Cultlike doesn't begin to describe Skrillex's followers. Rolls or no rolls, for those who live for the frenetic pace and bass wobble of dubstep, a Skrillex show is practically a religious experience. The 23-year-old DJ and producer used to front a popular screamo band, From First to Last, until his vocal chords gave out and he dived headlong into another expiration-dated niche. Since releasing his official debut, My Name Is Skrillex, in 2010, he's become one of the most recognizable names in EDM. In early 2011, Sol Lounge announced a free Skrillex gig online mere hours before he was scheduled to show, but lo and behold, the place was teeming when the rave dream maker and his haircut took to the booth. His set was a neon speedball into oblivion, and his sold-out Pageant show will be the dance party of the century.
