A crowd gathered near MoKaBe's Coffeehouse on South Grand Boulevard on November 24, 2014, to await the grand jury's decision about Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson's actions and intent in his fatal shooting of Michael Brown on August 9. Upon learning that Wilson would not be charged, the group took to the streets to peacefully protest the decision, ultimately meeting with St. Louis City police on Grand near I-44 and diverting the traffic on the highway below.
