Say Yes to No

No man has ever made a martini sound -- and look -- as good as James Bond does with his classic drink order: "Shaken, not stirred." The effortlessly suave film version of Agent 007 first graced us with his sexy presence in 1962's Dr. No, starring Sean Connery. And here we are, 50 years later and still swooning. The Webster University Film Series honors five decades of Britain's greatest spy with Bond-A-Thon: Celebrating 007, which starts appropriately enough with Dr. No at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Moore Auditorium (470 East Lockwood Avenue, 314-968-7487 or In the first film, Bond travels to Jamaica to tangle with the villainous Dr. No (complete with a hi-tech evil lair and a thirst for world domination). And no Bond flick is complete without a gorgeous leading lady. The stunning Ursula Andress sets the bar high for all Bond girls to follow with the bikini-clad Honey Ryder, who emerges from the sea with a body and voice as sweet as her name (although the voice is dubbed, sad to say). Tickets for Dr. No are $5 to $6.
