The history of Route 66 can tell many of the deeper and sometimes painful stories about American life in the first half of the 20th century--including stories of discrimination for people of color, women, and LGBTQ travelers. CHARIS will celebrates civil rights advocacy that promote more diversity along Route 66 and across our country.
