The local roots combo Rough Shop possesses three talented, distinct singers and songwriters. This year's Here Today proves that the band's principals — Andy Ploof, Anne Tkach and John Wendland — can meld folk, rock, jazz and blues into something that's both comforting and challenging. That creative spirit extends to the group's fifth annual holiday show, which features seasonal music and guest contributions from some of the city's best musicians. Those scheduled to appear include Chris Grabau (Magnolia Summer), Steve Carosello (Love Experts), Kevin Butterfield (the Linemen) and, in a rare appearance, Tkach's old Nadine bandmate, Adam Reichmann. To sweeten the pot, all proceeds go to benefit community radio station KDHX (88.1 FM).
