RE: Living History

In CAM’s courtyard, as part of Stephanie Syjuco: Rogue States, hangs a flag featuring a design by Mark Twain to protest the US takeover of the Philippines in 1899. Richard Garey, who regularly plays Twain at Hannibal’s Planter’s Barn Theater, brings his portrayal to CAM, and then sets out to discuss issues of re-enactment and the fabrication of history. Support for this program is provided by Missouri Humanities as part of their commitment to a more thoughtful, informed, and civil society.
