The last time local dissonance architects Phut played a show was in 2000 at the Way Out Club. That was shortly before guitarist Tim Garrigan (ex-Dazzling Killmen, ex-You Fantastic!) departed for New York. But a visit back to the Midwest has provided the perfect excuse for a one-time reunion of the experimental trio. Expect plenty of tightly wound, odd-metered grooves and unexpected detours into slow-burning, dissonant improvisations. In other words, it's time to put on your thinking cap and enjoy the unexpected twists and turns provided by these masters of ear-spasm engineering. To further fill out the brain-bending nature of the evening, Phut will be joined by fellow St. Louis area experimenters Theab Hits (a.k.a. Yowie) and the Conformists
