It's been more than 100 years (113, to be exact) since L. Frank Baum's children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was published. That it still inspires new art (yes, even 2013's insipid prequel film Oz, the Great and Powerful counts) is a testament to how Baum's work connects with dreamers of all ages and generations. Albright, a Kansas City native, has amassed a collection of merchandise spanning decades, including dolls, toys, games, housewares, vintage clothing, figurines, records and more. You can view a portion of her impressive inventory at 100 Years of Oz at the Central branch of the St. Louis Public Library (1301 Olive Street; 314-206-6702 or The collection remains on display through Sunday, July 28, and the library is open daily.
