Our Public Household: The Surrender and Resistance of the Black Home is a film program organized by Azikiwe Mohammed as a part of Soft Scrub, a group exhibition at The Luminary curated by Katherine Simone Reynolds that considers the complicated layers, stereotypes, and foundational lessons of the Black household from the Black male perspective.Over three days, see free screenings of Candy Man (October 11), The Watermelon Man (October 12 at 1pm), The Spook Who Sat By the Door (October 12 at 7pm), and Baby Boy (October 13).
