Music of the Reformation

Celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation through song! Martin Luther had a profound and lasting influence on sacred music and even Bach himself! Bach’s Reformation cantata Ein feste burg ist unser Gott and Heinrich Schütz’s Psalm 136 will highlight the program, along with an opportunity for audience participation in joyous Reformation hymns. Guest artists include: soprano Josefien Stoppelenburg, countertenor Jay Carter, tenor Gene Stenger and bass Curtis Streetman.
