Four days after the area received a downpour, rural Missouri residents banded together to save their homes.

The sand bags are not enough to keep the water at bay; a pump is needed to get out the water that seeps through the bags.
According to Randy, a resident of Baumgartner rd, up until Friday trains were still allowed to use the tracks that run underneath Baumgartner Road Bridge. They have since stopped due to the rising water.
Access to the Fred Weber South Quarry and Asphalt is almost impossible due to the flood.
On Friday, March 21, 2008 there were 100 volunteers at the site and 60 should up the next day. The residents believe that they would have lost their housed without the help of their neighbors.
The residents of Arnold park come together to save two houses on Mabel Drive.
Workers at the quarry use boats to get to the office building and assess the damage.
