March Madness, Ain't It Grand

by

The Mardi Gras Grand Parade just keeps getting grander. The parade puts its best foot forward at 11 a.m. in front of Busch Stadium (Broadway and Poplar Street) and then winds its way to the heart of St. Louis' Mardi Gras ground zero, the historic Soulard neighborhood. The parade krewes have lined up more than 100 floats and marching units this year, ensuring a colorful and raucous spectacle for all to enjoy. After the parade, gather your bosom buddies and explore all that the soulful Soulard community has to offer: from world-class restaurants to down-and-dirty dives, from nineteenth-century Victorian townhouses to bead-hungry beauties, Soulard has it all. Please remember that public urination is a crime, and the police will be enforcing the law, but don't worry — there will be Porta-Potties aplenty. There is no admission fee for Mardi Gras, but you'll want ready cash for food, drinks and perhaps another drink. For more information, visit www.mardigrasinc.com.
