Magical Realism: Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House

When: Fri., April 12, 7-8 p.m. 2019

Hollyhock House was Frank Lloyd Wright’s first Los Angeles commission and an ode to the freedom and natural beauty of California. Built in 1921 for an oil heiress, its eclectic style combines Mayan Revival, Early Modernism, and Wright’s own Prairie Style. On Friday, April 12, Jeffrey Herr, Curator of Hollyhock, will speak about the magical Hollyhock House and its recent $4.3M restoration.
