Lions and Drumming and Juggling

Oh my!

Stuck babysitting the nieces and nephews on your crucial Saturday night? Well, unless you’re a robot, you’re screwed, because kids require shiny objects, rapid motion, frantic music and various kinetic what-the-hey. They also have attention spans that are shorter than they are tall. Best that you cart ´em off to something designed for the hyper little beasties, like, say, Chesterfield Arts’ presentation of Pulse!, an exciting, family-friendly show produced by Bazoink! Entertainment. The night features the variously zinging-and-zoinging acts of skilled jugglers and other performers, who will balance and crack wise. And just in case the little ones get bored despite all that wowza-ka-woop and juggling kookamunga, the ShaoLin LoHan Pai Lion Dance Troupe also performs. The kiddos are bound to sleep well after all that! Presented as part of the multicultural Arts Alive! series, Pulse! explodes at the theater at Marquette High School (2351 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield) at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for kids at 636-938-2302 or www.rockwoodcommunityed.com.
