Georges Melies, a revolutionary French filmmaker who pioneered then-revolutionary special effects, has been celebrated much as of late thanks to a starring role in Martin Scorsese's Hugo. The Webster University Film Series takes this opportunity to revisit his works as part of its Classic French Film Festival. Visit Webster University's Moore Auditorium to screen a biography of the filmographer, Le Grand Melies, and his most famous film, A Trip to the Moon, among others.
