Keith Murray

9 p.m. Wednesday, November 19. Blueberry Hill's Duck Room, 6504 Delmar Boulevard, University City.

He's gone from a beautiful mid-'90s major label career to a less glamorous underground existence, but Keith Murray has stayed on the mic despite a litany of legal woes. Initially championed by E.P.M.D.'s Erick Sermon, the Long Island rapper debuted with 1994's The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World, making up for grammatical faux pas with darkly comic wordplay. A prison stint for assault and other run-ins with the law have interrupted his career, but his sixth album, which instead promoted Intellectual Violence, appeared earlier this year.
