Keep Art Happening

And keep the margaritas coming!

May 24, 2006 at 4:00 am
While all of you are sitting at home on Thursday nights watching ER's latest horrific helicopter tragedy/terrifying epidemic/psychopath randomly killing people/dinosaur attack, Ms. Day gallivants all over town, partying and generally whooping it up. Like tonight: She'll be at Tejas Grill & Cantina (44 North Brentwood Boulevard, Clayton; 314-862-1414 or www.tejasgrill.com), knocking back margaritas, eating the hell out of some pulled-pork empanadas and, most important, helping to raise money for the Arts and Education Council. Tejas is owned and chefed by the same genius behind Harvest, Stephen Gontram (mmmm, Harvest), so she knows the food will be good, and the Arts and Education Council is more than deserving of her money — after all, this organization helps to "keep art happening." So if you can forego the hospital catastrophe (you should be able to because it'll be a rerun tonight anyway), meet Lady Day at Tejas at 5 p.m. For more information about this "fun-raiser" (the cantina is donating fifteen percent of tonight's sales to the cause — now, that's fun!), call the council at 314-289-4003.
