Jonas Brothers

7 p.m. Thursday, June 28. Old Glory Amphitheatre, Six Flags, Eureka.

The disturbing implications of their recent Kim Wilde rewrite "Kids of the Future" (and you thought straight kiddie covers of your fave old songs for movie tie-ins were bad?) aside, the three Jonas Brothers make pop-punk so relentlessly sunny that Hanson seems like Joy Division in comparison. Record exec and producer Steve Greenberg has been involved with both groups, and the Disney Channel dominance of Kevin, Nicholas and Joseph — through tunes like "Year 3000" and the Little Mermaid cover "Poor Unfortunate Souls" — shows the Jonases aren't about to go gently into one-hit-wonderdom.
