It's Santa's Kingdom

We're just driving through it

Holiday magic is an intangible yet very real part of the season. At Santa's Magical Kingdom, the beaming drive-through light display in Eureka, there's magic in spades — along with healthy doses of whimsy, wonder and general Christmas glee. The reason? This kingdom is revealed but once a year, so the elves who live here are able to conserve joy in the off-season and dish it out with heavy little hands from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. nightly through Sunday, January 4. Santa's helpers have got so much joy, in fact, that even if the new laptop you were dreaming of unwrapping on Christmas morn manifested as a hideous holiday sweater, a slow roll through St. Nick's realm is almost guaranteed to bring some merry feelings closer to the surface. Plus, a portion of your vehicle's $17 admission fee supports the Children's Miracle Network — we've heard somewhere that it's better to give than to receive anyway. To check out the kingdom and its twinkling lights, browse through Kringle's General Store, and pose for a free picture with Santa, point your ride in the direction of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park (exit 261 off I-44, near Six Flags). And to learn about train and wagon rides, visit www.santasmagicalkingdom.com or call 636-938-5925.
