St. Louis Chamber Chorus' presents “In Every Corner Sing!”, exploring music designed to reverberate in a large space with works scored for multiple choirs, exploiting St. Louis Abbey's rich acoustic. Highlights include Tallis' 40-part “Spem In Alium.” For eight separate choirs, five voice parts each, it is a pinnacle of Renaissance music. Each concert in the 60th season presents a world premiere, this one commissioned from Gabriel Jackson. Other multi-choir works include Britten's “Hymn to the Virgin”; Vaughan Williams' "O Praise the Lord of Heaven"; and Nystedt's "Immortal Bach", for five choirs in the round!
