Thursday, January 20; Creepy Crawl (412 North Tucker Boulevard)

Go to Kazaa or LimeWire right now and type "Glenn Danzig" and "ass kicked" into the search engine. What you'll get back is a video clip of the li'l-but-beefy ex-Misfits frontman arguing with some gigantic dude backstage at a show. The big guy insults Danzig's honor or some such, and Glenn give the fella a shove. Big Dude comes back at Danzig swinging and knocks that "Mother" singer right to the ground. It's the proverbial two-hit fight.

Thursday night at the Creepy Crawl, you are going to be Danzig and NYC hardcore band H2O is Big Beefy. Sure, you think you're pretty cool in your all-black ensemble and bitchin' tattoos. But you're going to get your ass kicked. One of the best of the mid-'90s hardcore revival, H20 has been whupping punks like you for around a decade. Probably best known for its Epitaph debut Thicker Than Water, H2O draws from Minor Threat at its most melodic. Which isn't saying much, so there's plenty of room left over for bone-crunching punch. Duck if you don't want to end up like Danzig.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10-$12; call 314-851-0919 for more information.
