Go Ask Alice

Most people who read the classic Alice in Wonderland as children never understood the real meaning of the story until Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" descended upon their seventeen-year-old ears — only then did they exclaim, "Oooh, now I get it!" in the dark of their parents' basement. Hear a different kind of music associated with the children's tale when you catch Landon Shaw's new musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, presented by DramaRama Theatre Company. This production is lively enough to keep even the Rabbit on his toes as he waits to find out what the Cheshire Cat is really smiling about. Performances are Saturday and Sunday (November 11 and 12) at 2 p.m. at the Freeman Theatre located on the campus of Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (101 North Warson Road, Ladue). Alice and pals cordially invite you to a special interactive Mad Tea Party after each performance. Show tickets are $5 for children and $7 for adults; for more information visit www.dramaramatheatre.com.
