St. Louis Green Drinks is an organization of ecologically minded people who get together at Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Avenue, Maplewood; 314-241-2337 or to discuss methods for encouraging St. Louisans to join the green movement. Yeah, you hear a lot about the green movement these days, but don't be misled into thinking that means the StL Green Drinkers are Johnny-come-latelies. For four years now, the group has been meeting on Tuesdays at Schlafly to discuss their mission and brainstorm new ways of making St. Louis more livable. In fact, the gang green celebrates its fourth anniversary this very evening, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. — and whether you're new to green or an old-timer, you're welcome to partake of the festivities. There will be appetizers, organic birthday cake, music and attendance prizes, and admission is $5.
