Giovanna Cassilly has been deeply immersed in painting since she was only fifteen-years-old, learning both in and out of the classroom, developing her skill with the experience that comes from the physical need to express oneself. Her latest exhibition, For the Record
, incorporates oil paint and broken vinyl to create hauntingly disjointed portraits. For the Record
opens this Friday at the Hoffman LaChance Contemporary (2713 Sutton Boulevard, Maplewood; 314-960-5322 or www.hoffmanlachancefineart.com
) with a free reception from 6 p.m. to midnight, and the work will remain on display Friday and Saturday through Saturday, April 28.
Fridays, Saturdays. Starts: April 6. Continues through April 28, 2012
