Flying on Your Motorcycle...

Motorcycles are one beautiful invention, worthy of the songs they've inspired and films they've made inspiring. Even non-riders can relate to the thrill of the road if they remember being a kid and lifting their feet off the pedals as their bicycle flew down a hill and the wind whipped past their ears. Developer Steve Smith definitely feels love for motorcycles, and he shares his devotion -- and motorcycle collection -- with the city of St. Louis as his Moto Museum (3441 Olive Street) opens its doors for the first time this weekend with a grand three-day party. The Saint Louis International Motorcycle Festival begins at 5 p.m. Friday, April 27, and features extreme stunt-riding presentations, movies, eats and a concert; the fun continues that evening until 10:30 p.m. Return on Saturday and Sunday (April 28 and 29) for more demos, concerts and two-wheel extreme entertainment. Throughout the entire festival, the museum is open for tours of its 100 bikes, both old and new, from all around the world. Tickets to the fest cost $15; visit www.themotofest.com for specific hours and more information.
