Flesh Peddlers: Energy Renude

This Saturday everyone is invited to go balls-out in their protest of fossil fuels by participating in the area's fifth annual World Naked Bike Ride: St. Louis. Riders will gather at the South Grand Parking Lot (Hartford Street and Grand Boulevard) at 6 p.m. for pre-pedaling festivities, including costume contests, body painting and live music. At 8 p.m. the trousers will drop as hundreds of pantsless participants hit the banana seats for some wild and wooly bareback riding. These free spirits are cycling in the hope of making the world a better place, free of oil dependency and underwear. Bicyclists are not required to let it all hang out, but are simply encouraged to go as bare as they dare. (You can always lose the top along the route.) For all of the details, visit
