About the gilled ones

This nation is getting to be quite suspicious of everyone these days, but even still, there is an element within our borders that no one is paying any attention to (at least not very often). No, we're not talking about sleeper cells — we're referring to some of Missouri's native fish. These mysterious creatures live in dark, murky waters, and they never, ever come on land — now, how suspicious is that! Fortunately for us (and for national security), the Missouri Department of Conservation presents its Show-Me Missouri Fish Mobile Aquarium at St. Louis Union Station (1820 Market Street) Thursday through Sunday, June 15 through 18. While checking out this 3,200-gallon tank, you'll be able to keep tabs on up to 25 species of fish as professionals teach you how to trick these shady characters into getting out of that water with things called "lures." For more information about the free aquarium, visit www.mdc.mo.gov/fish/kids/mobileaqua or call MOCon at 636-441-4554.
