Mirrored by the sentiment of the 1904 World’s Fair, St. Louis remains home to a growing population whose national heritage expands to all far reaches of the Earth. Since its establishment in 2000, the Festival of Nations has grown to be one of the region’s largest multicultural festivals. With numerous stage performances and unique food booths offering traditional fare throughout beautiful Tower Grove Park (Magnolia and Tower Grove avenues), the festival is a delight to all of the senses. Representing over 40 nations, the outdoor celebration symbolizes a continued interest in the mix of culture that keeps our city interesting. This year, we see the return of COBU, an all-female performance troupe blending tap dance and traditional Japanese Taiko drumming. With over four different stages hosting varied performances and a world bazaar filled with gift booths, food vendors and crafts, the festival shines as a beacon of community and cultural awareness.
