The Pulitzer Prize-winning screwball comedy You Can't Take It With You is an expert comedy of manners, widely regarded as one of the funniest plays of all time. Written for the stage by Moss Hart and George Kaufman, the play chronicles the exploits of the Sycamores, a good-natured family of muse-following eccentrics who are set on a collision course with the "real world" when their daughter invites her boyfriend's blue-blood parents over for dinner. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis opens its new season with You Can't Take It With You at 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center (130 Edgar Road; 314-968-4925 or www.repstl.org). The play continues every day except Monday through Sunday, October 3. Tickets are $15 to $70.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 8. Continues through Oct. 3, 2010
